Clare McInerney

Your host for Virtual Mindlab 2023! In her 13 years with Wiley, Clare has worn many hats—training, communications, and channel development. As the Director of Partner Channels, Clare leads the much-beloved Minneapolis Partner Care and Education teams. She’s known for her empathy, direct approach, and unique ability to untangle the tangliest of tangles.

Fun Fact: Clare majored in Journalism and Advertising because of Halle Berry’s role in Boomerang. She used to have an Si style (but Jidana said she was lying to herself). And… she now has three kidneys.

Romain Mallard

SVP, General Manager, Professional Learning

Romain is passionate about education, technology, and branding. With an engineering degree earned in France, he started his career as an entrepreneur co-founding an e-learning company in Brazil acquired by Wiley in 2014. Romain moved from Rio de Janeiro to Minneapolis in 2018 to join the Wiley Brand team and support our Partner community.

Fun Fact: He loves to travel with friends and family, listen to vinyl records, and run around the beautiful lakes in Minnesota.

Koreen Pagano

Group VP, Product Management

DiSC Style: Di

Koreen is an internationally recognized writer and speaker who is passionate about learning, technology, and changing the world. Koreen founded Tandem Learning, where she pioneered immersive learning in organizations by leveraging virtual worlds, games, and simulations. She then went on to lead Enterprise Product at lynda.com and LinkedIn, led corporate product strategy at D2L, and was head of product for Degreed. Koreen has taught graduate courses at Harrisburg University and is on the advisory board for emerging tech companies in the VR and education markets. Koreen authored the book Immersive Learning.

Dave Kuntz

VP, Product Platform Strategy

David Kuntz is a global leader in AI-driven adaptive learning/personalized education. He is a recognized expert in data science, educational measurement, strategy, product development, talent development, and educational technology. With six patents to his name, David has held leadership roles at multiple ed-tech companies.

Whitney Thulin

Digital Product Director

DiSC Style: D

Whitney has spent her career in educational publishing, seven of those years in Product Development with Wiley. When she came to Wiley, Whitney managed the Assessments Brands Translation team, including the creation of a tool that enabled Partner-led translation. Whitney has been with Catalyst since the beginning and through the COVID shift, collaborating with Product Development teams to bring Catalyst to life. Whitney now leads the Assessments Product Management team responsible for delivering value to customers. Her background in journalism helps her stay curious and ask questions that support delivering the best products possible.

Fun fact: Whitney is an accomplished classical trombone player and enjoys playing piano with her son and biking outdoors when the Minnesota weather cooperates.

Katie Fuhrmann

Sr. Director, Brand Assessments

Katie has extensive experience in consumer and shopper marketing communications with a track record of successful campaigns for some of America’s most iconic brands and retailers. She began her career with eight years at General Mills, where she built brands such as Cheerios and Nature Valley while supporting retailers like Walmart and Kroger. Katie spent three years as the owner and primary consultant at The Fuhrm Marketing Solutions, an integrated marketing communications and shopper marketing consultancy serving the consumer packaged goods industry.

Fun Fact: Outside of work, Katie loves spending time with her husband and two kids, running outside, and keeping up with the latest TED Talks on human behavior.

Laurel Schrementi

Lead Product Manager

Laurel brings her background in learning sciences and years of experience in product design to our Everything DiSC and Catalyst teams. As a lead product manager, she focuses on defining the feature roadmap for Catalyst and EPIC to make the world of DiSC easy to access, engaging for learners, and impactful for organizations.

Mark Scullard, Ph.D.

Sr. Director, Product Innovation

DiSC Style: S

Mark has worked at Wiley for 15 years and is involved in all aspects of its product development. He has played an especially large role in the research and validation of Everything DiSC^® and PXT Select™ assessments. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Counseling Psychology and has written extensively on topics such as leadership, personality, and interpersonal relationships.

Fun Fact: Mark worked for a full year as the worst line-dancing waiter at Texas Roadhouse.

Cherryl D'Souza

VP, Brand Management

DiSC Style: D

Cherryl has a consistent record of success in spearheading digital marketing initiatives, including building digital media businesses, influencer networks, and the building of a global content studio. A native of India, Cherryl came to the United States to further her education and launched her career at General Mills. During her 15 years there, she led business management and product development for brands like Pillsbury, Fruit by the Foot, and Box Tops for Education.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Cherryl enjoys cooking and entertaining, hitting the gym, and spending time with her husband and children.

Angie Wilson

Sr. Manager, Education

Angie started her Wiley journey with the Education team in August 2020 (yay for pandemic onboarding!). Her passion and commitment for educating and helping people (and her love for a good spreadsheet) make her a perfect fit for the world of training and education. Angie has a master’s degree in human resource development.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Angie loves to play sports and travel, but she mostly stays at home because she has two young kids!

Tricia Weinhold

Sr. Brand Manager, The Five Behaviors^®

DiSC Style: SC

Tricia has extensive experience in integrated marketing, brand, and communications strategy with an emphasis in digital marketing. Most notably, Tricia served as the marketing lead for HALO^®, a beloved juvenile brand, where she was responsible for all integrated marketing initiatives. Her passion and commitment for developing meaningful, authentic brands and entrepreneurial mindset allow her to act with speed and precision to ultimately deliver results.

Fun Fact: Outside of her work at Wiley, Tricia loves spending time with her husband and two girls, traveling, and pursuing her passion for photography.

Mike Bettison

Director, Digital Brand Experience

Mike has over 20 years of experience building and growing large-scale digital platforms. With a master’s degree from New York University, Mike started his career as an entrepreneur by co-founding a content production agency. Working with clients such as Time Warner, Discovery Channel, and PBS, Mike has extensive experience and passion for using content and social media to drive brand awareness.

Fun Fact: In his spare time, Mike loves to go sailing with friends and family and enjoys playing the piano.

Pia Scott-Kristensen

Trainer, The Wiley Education Team

DiSC Style: C

In her seven years at Wiley, Pia has had several roles. As part of the fabulous Education Team, you may have seen Pia on screen delivering certification, where she enjoys seeing courses come to life. Equally, and perhaps more so, Pia loves to deep dive into course development and as a natural organizer she always has an excel sheet ready to go. Originally from New Zealand, Pia followed her Danish heritage back to Denmark 8 years ago, building a home away from home with her husband and 3yr old daughter.

Fun Fact: Pia has run more than 10 half-marathons, and one full marathon which she vowed never to do again!
